Thursday, June 24th, 2010Summertime, and the livin’ is,….BUSY!!!
Tuesday, June 15th, 2010All sorts of great things have already happened in the blazing hot month of June, with only more good things to come!

*For the latter half of June, the Booty Band will be down in Florida recording their new album with DJ Le Spam in his studio located in Miami, FL.
Everyone is really excited. This will be the first studio album since 2007’s “Now You Know” was released. It will include newest Booty Band members Lee Allen on drums and Mary Frances on vocals and keys from the band Eymarel.
Much of the album will be recorded right to tape (reel to reel) to utilize some of the ol’ school recording techniques. The band expects a late Fall/early Winter release.
*Surrounding the band’s dates in the studio will be a string of Florida shows. Come check them out at one or all of the following shows:
June
18 New Smyrna Beach, FL Beachside Tavern
19 Jupiter, FL Guanabana’s
25-26 Key West, FL Green Parrot
June Highlights (so far):
*WAKARUSA!!! We’d like to thank everyone who came out to our show at Waka to help us rage it Booty Band style. Great energy from the crowd and we had a blast hanging out at the fest all weekend, meeting other bands and hanging out with our fans from all over the country.

*Carolina Rib King from Spartanburg, SC was overall, the bands favorite rib stand at the Twin City Rib Fest in Winston Salem. Although there was the factor that they didn’t get a chance to try all of the different stands. So many ribs, so little time…
*Even though it’s been almost a year since our last Wilmington show, folks came out to the infamous Soapbox and represented,…and they represented well. An awesome night of high energy!
*The boathouse in Myrtle Beach was fun and interesting. Boaters pulled their rides up to the docks behind the club and pulled out their coolers and BBQ’s. People swam around in the water, drinking and listening to music while the hill behind the bar where the stage was located quickly filled up with hundreds of listeners, dancers and hoola hoopers. What a great Sunday afternoon!
